Top Picks: Isabel Marant for H&M!

So excited for November 14th! Isabel Marant's collaboration with H&M comes out and all of us that
aren't lucky enough to buy the real deal can get a few pieces at a more affordable price. The line also includes children's and menswear!
Isabel Marant is one of my favorites! Her clothes are almost the definition of my personal style, feminine, edgy and eclectic. Not only does she design the most amazing shoes, but has the most chic prints and textures!

Here are my top picks for her line for H&M, I already have my choices ready to go for when the madness begins! Get ready! You can't miss out on getting at least one piece from this gorgeous collection.

OUTERWEAR
1. Texture Texture Texture. These three sweaters/jackets are a must have in anyones closet this season, each one for a different occasion and for different styles!
Dress up any outfit with the embellished jacket! Its feminine silhouette, intricate beading  and bright colors will make you stand out for any occasion  It's not exactly cheap, but a lot more affordable than the AW13 collection.

Cardigan
£79.99
2. The rest of the sweaters are so wearable! You will seriously wear them over and over during this cold season, and they look good with anything.

3. Sweater, £69.99

4. Sweatshirt
£34.99

BOTTOMS
£69.99
5. Who doesn't LOVE leather!? It makes anyone feel a little more sexy and gives an edgy look to any outfit! They are perfect, from the pockets, zippers, to the gorgeous "oxblood" color, which is the IT color this season! This is my must have piece from the collection, and they're affordable.

£59.99
6. Add a little print to your wardrobe with these jeans/trousers, don't be scared of prints! They are a bit more casual and can be worn from day to night. The black and white colors will allow you to match it with any color you want.

£59.99
7. These trousers I die for! They remind me of the paintings from my favorite Art Nouveau, Gustav Klimt. Sure they're a little crazy, but the print and metallic colors perfectly dress up the wide legged trouser trend! Who says they look like pajamas? Wear them with a crop top and black heels and you're ready to go!

TOPS
£59.99

8. Simple, but never boring. This blouse has a laid back look for a more simple outfit but keeps it interesting with beautiful details. It comes in black also, but I personally think the details look better in white.
£39.99
9. Sorry for repeating this print but I am in love! This blouse is so sexy in every way! If you loved the print but you're scared it might be too much on the trousers, get this. You'll have more options to wear it with and feel more comfortable.

ACCESSORIES
10.Belt £29.99                            11. Boots £149.99

I am not really a belt girl, but this one has a folky beaded look that is really unique! Everyone needs at least one crazy belt in their closet.
Now the boots! The color, the fringe, the combination of leather and suede, its the perfect shoe for the season! Wear them with a dress, pants, skirt, shorts, anything! I also love the fact that the heel is the perfect height and allows you to wear them all day if you want. Not as cheap but if you're a fan, they're worth it.

TISSUE PAPER TASSEL GARLAND DIY

Tassel garlands inspired by Confetti Systems are showing up everywhere in the party decoration scene lately! Which by the way are sold for around $130-300! Of course these are perfectly made and cut by machines, but why buy them when you can make one yourself nearly as perfect?
They are really cheap to make and they will give any room a chic and festive touch!

Below is a super easy step-by-step tutorial I created, showing you how to make your own tassel garland for your next party!

::What you'll need::
1. Tissue paper, I used about 4 sheets per tassel
2. Cutting mat
3. Xacto Knife
4. Glue gun
5. Thin cord or ribbon
6. A book to hold the paper while you cut

::Doing it::
1. Lay down 4 large sheets of tissue paper together and fold in half.

2. Fold it one more time so it's folded in fourths.

3. Set up the paper so that the longest crease is on the top, place a book over that top edge about 1/2 inch in so you have a border that doesn't get cut. The book's weight will also help hold the paper while you cut it.

4. Start cutting strips from top to bottom with the knife all along the paper, don't make them too thick! Use the ruler to make straight smooth edges. Press hard so every single sheet gets cut, otherwise it will look uneven.

5. Once you're done cutting unfold the paper back to half, you will see the crease that didn't get cut in the middle.

6. To make the tassel, start rolling the paper, make it neat and as tight as you can.

7. You will end up with two sides with cut strips and a solid area in the middle, now with the glue gun, put some glue in that area around the fold so it stays rolled up/

8. Last, make a loop to create the tassel and glue it together, leaving a whole to put the string through.

9. Repeat to create additional tassels in different colors. Then hang from thin cord or ribbon.  Once I placed them along the string, I glued each one in its position so they wouldn't slide.

10. Now hang up your garland wherever you want! I used thumb tacks to hang them on the wall and that held it pretty well, but you can use nails too!

NOW GO DO IT YOURSELF!
